I have just received my CS5 Master Collection for my iMac and have been reading numerous issues with the install - getting to 99% and then hanging. Anyone having similar issues, before I make the attempt to install my CS5 Master Collection?

And must I uninstall CS4 Design Premium before I install the CS5 Master Collection? Thanks Bob

Just a rant here - i know it doesn't do much to complain here but figure its better than nowhere N

None of the Creative Suites seems to fulfill all of my wishes

I am a Flash designer/developer in the e-learning field. I was looking at the elearning suite but that is missing Flash Builder/Catalyst and Illustrator and Fireworks - 3 programs i seem to use daily. I want to move more into captivate though as well as many customers are now leaning towards rapid elearning solutions.

I look at Web Premium - well that I miss out on Captivate and Soundbooth (which i could use....)

I look at Master Collection figuring well that must have all of them - nope it is missing Captivate as well

I look at Captivate on its own as its the program i'm really looking for - well thats $800 on its own since i have no upgrade path

Why can't adobe make a roll your own Creative suite? or if you are going to offer a 'Master' collection offer it with EVERYTHING??? I could justify the cost of master suite if it had Captivate but buying a CS Premium Edition and then additional single copies of the other software that doesn't come with the suite seems just annoying and silly to me.

How can I tell if the copy of CS3 Design and Web Standard is an upgrade or full version? I purchased this several years ago and I can't recall which version I bought.

If it's a full version, am I permitted to sell it and transfer the serial number? How does one go about transferring ownership?

Hi folks, I had a failing harddrive so I deactivated the CS5 Suite and used the Suspend option rather than the complete deactivation. I cloned my boot drive and restarted. The suite does not ask me to activate, but Adobe Acrobat won't start saying it is part of a suite and needs to be activated with another part of the suite. Once PShop is running, Acrobat will run but it won't run on its own. However under the Photoshop menus, I see no option to activate or reactivate the suite....

It still gives me the option to deactivate.... 

Stumped... :-(

I believe it started happening after I installed CS5.5:

After running for some time, AdobeCrashDaemon eatch all available memory and basically makes the computer non-operational.

Quitting AdobeCrashDaemon from Activity Monitor solves the issue... that is until AdobeCrashDaemon eats all memory again.

It occupies some 4.8 GB of Real Memory (Mac Pro 2x2.66 GHz, 7GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.8).

I usually have InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver open + open other versions of InDesign sometimes).

I hope this issue can be solved ASAP because it's impossible to work like this.

Frequently Bridge CS5 will not generate the full-screen image of a selected image when the space bar is hit.  All I get is a black blank screen.  I have to run Onyx to have the capability restored.   What is happening and how can I prevent this from happening?

I'm hoping somebody can help me?

We've just upgraded our Macs (The company I work for) and have therefore had to re-install a lot of our software. I used the migration utility to set up the new mac and found that the majority of software transfered fine. Before 'migrating' I had already deactivated our copy of CS3 Premium. When the migration was finished I tried activating CS3 and was given the message; "We are unable to activate Adobe Design Suite Premium CS3", then told to click phone activation.

I went through the automated service, typing in my serial number and activation number only to be told that the activation was unsuccessful. I tried this a few times to make sure I was inputting the numbers correctly.

I decided to reinstall the entire suite, making sure to uninstall it all first; I have tried this twice and it still does the same thing.

With this turning out to be a dead-end I then spoke with a lady at Adobe who after twenty minutes told me that the serial number is for a beta version of CS3, not the full version and therefore she didn't has the requisite tool for generating an authorisation code!

Now here's the thing - just last year we'd had a mac die on us and I'd had to reinstall CS3. I had to call Adobe and get it deactivated and was then given a new authorisation code; this worked fine, activated fine and we had no issues with it whatsoever.

Please help! Quite desperate to get this up and running.

Hello, I just created new document in Indesign but also needed to prepare backgroud image in Illustrator. What I've found is that B5 template page sizes are different in both apps. Is it for any reason?

I had a disk corruption of some sort and fixed with Disk Warrior but Creative Suite 4 would not run on a G5 PowerPC running Leopard 10.5x.  I kept getting a request that my demo had expired but I have a legal version. Adobe uninstaller wouldn’t work, so I trashed everything that I could find relating to adobe including stuff in library.  When I ran installer, the problem “checking system profile…” hung up when about 90% done checking the hard disk.  There are a lot of posts about this and I tried several suggestions online but none worked including making new user, booting up in Safe Mode or Root user, modifying file called ContainerProxy.js (e.g. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/407/kb407428.html), running AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool, disconnecting form internet, etc. Is there a fix for this since wasting a lot of time for something that should be trivial.

Hi I am trying to reinstall CS5 master suit from original discs and I am repeatedly getting this:

I have uninstalled renamed folders ran the cleanup tool, changed the permissions etc. but still can't get it to run. Can a file be missing from the DVD?

I'm setting up a Mac lab in a high school.  I need to limit the applications that students can access so they don't have access to system preferences.  As soon as I turn on the "Limit Applications" feature in the account preferences none of the CS6 apps will work.  I get a "don't have permission" error and then login with the admin user/password to "always allow" the program to run.  It still doesn't work.  Any idea where I can go from here?

I bought the student and teacher licensing CS6 production premium and it came with installation discs for pc and mac. Does this mean I can install on both operating systems with the same product key or do i have to choose one?

I have the masters collection and am using os x 10.7.5 and have been having a problem for a while.

The adobe updater said that there 14 updates so I attempted to run the updater but it crashed everytime I tried. I then decided to verify disk permission on my mac which I did and now that I have restarted my machine my installation of photoshop and premiere pro seem to have gone although other adobe apps remain.

I have tried inserting the master collection cd to reinstall these apps but the installer will not run and crashed just like the adobe updater?

Any idea why I can't run the installer?

Re-install of Mountain Lion from Time Machine (BIG mistake) left me with PhotoShop and InDesign CS4 unusable. "License stopped working and Error 150:30" were the messages.

Went online, tried what worked for some people, i.e. deleting Flexnet from ~Library/Application Support and then putting Flexnet file in ~Library/Preferences. Still could not open PS & ID. Interesting that Bridge never had a problem and works fine.

I am out of USA and don't have my install disks but I do have serial number for CS4. Chat was ridiculous. Adobe is certainly wasting money on that outsourced non-help function which took 30 minutes of my time for nothing.

Is there any help for me besides waiting til I get back to USA to get my install disks?

I feel very angry at Adobe for having so little help for me. I've been using PhotoShop since the 80's on PCs and Macs. I wish there were some other program out there so I wouldn't have to deal with Adobe-Snobby who "got above their raisin's."

Oh, and by the way, just in case anyone from Adobe pays any attention to this, when you click "Close" from the Chat window like the intructions tell you, there is NO WAY to complain about "how Adobe is doing."

Is Mavericks OS X 10.9.3 compatible with CS6? I am thinking of upgrading from 10.8.5 to Mavericks. Thanks

I have just installed CS5 suite, with these errors

1/ Indesign fails to open, just crashes, issues a crash report

2/ Illustrator crashes when closing, but does seem to work, issues a crash report

3/ Photoshop CS 5 error when changing workspace,  Could not apply the workspace because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary access privileges. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to unlock the file or change permissions on the file or enclosing folders.

Does any one have any ideas, with three apps that have errors, I did try to set the CS5 settings folder with my permissions. Below is a link I found on this site , however it did not work

Navigate to /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings

Select that file File>Get Info

At the very bottom under permissions, hit the + icon.

Add your user name from the list that pops up.

Highlight the user just added.

Click the gear icon to the right of the +/-

Choose make owner.

Click the gear icon again and choose apply to folder contents.

Open Photoshop.

Greetings. My CS5 Design Premium (UPGRADE FROM CS4) for Mac arrived a short while ago. It seems to only have 3 total discs; Creative suite disc, Acrobat 9 installer Disc (is this disc 2?) and then the content disc. Is this correct or is there one missing?

Edit: Just to elaborate, I was under the impression there was 2 separate discs for the creative suite itself (and the installer directions mention multi disc set but i don't know if that refers to the acrobat disc as well), and i just wanted to be sure before i begin an install and have it stuck waiting for a disc 2 that I don't have.

I am no color management expert but I do want to get my printer to print the same colors as my monitor displays in PSD, AI and InD applications.
My Intel iMac and Cinema Display running OS10.5.8 are both color calibrated with Spyder 3 Elite to achieve correct color reproduction.

I'm trying to export a Keynote presentation as a PDF for a client leave-behind, and the PDF is not showing all fonts correctly. Some slides have simple text boxes that Adobe Reader and Acrobat render as complete gibberish. Other screens have Numbers spreadsheets that I exported successfully as PDFs (that render fine separately), but when the PDF is dropped into a keynote slide and then exported again as a PDF of the whole presentation, they turn into an unreadable mess.

I have seen error messages upon opening the PDF in Acrobat like this:

'Cannot extract the embedded font 'DKUXBZ+MyriadPro-It'. Some characters may not display or print correctly.'

But I don't know what 'DKUXBZ+' means. My Myrad Pro works fine in all my other applications.

Any ideas?
